Lowell-Calendonia blew out the Grand Rapids Icehawks tonight in a shortened game at Griff’s Ice House. It took LC only two periods to win 10-1 against the struggling Icehawks. With only six meager shots towards the net in the entire game, the Icehawks hardly even got the puck into LC’s zone. The entire first period was dominated by Lowell-Calendonia as they scored 8 goals and only gave up two shots.
The second period was better for the Icehawks as they managed to net one goal and only give up two more. The lone goal for the Ice Hawks was scored by number four Jeffery Oard. LC’s ten goals was enough to end the game after two periods.
The Icehawks were missing a few of their players tonight due to injury and will hope to do better in their next game. Lowell-Calendonia will have to make sure that they continue netting goals as they play Grand Rapids Christian tomorrow night. If they get as many shots as they did tonight, it will be hard to stop them. They launched an astounding 52 shots over the course of the two period game. The win will improve Lowell-Calendonia’s record to 11-1 on season.
