Through the first two periods of play the Eagles of Grand Rapids Christian jumped out to a fast 4-0 lead over the host Hudsonville Eagles, but what appeared to be an easy victory suddenly became anything but, as Hudsonville’s offense came alive in the final seven minutes third period. The flurry of goals wound up just short, however, as Grand Rapids Christian defeated Hudsonville 4-3.
Grand Rapids Christian goals came from Mason Tolenen, Josiah Buffinga, Thomas Rietema (shorthanded) and Cole DeVos. Hudsonville’s scores came thanks to Dan Hoekstra (first and second goal), and Andrew Terpstra.

Grand Rapids Christian is now 1-4 overall on the season, and Hudsonville find itself at 2-3.
