WMA Summer Recap and Fall Preview.

West Michigan All Star has been working hard to prepare for the upcoming school year and athletic season that comes with it. We are happy to announce that Davenport University has agreed to partner with WMA for another big season! Davenport is growing at exponential rates academically and athletically and continues to solidify itself as a wonderful post high school option for graduating seniors. Many West Michigan athletes have chosen Davenport as an option to continue their athletic career and we will be highlighting those athletes in a weekly ‘Where Are They Now?’ piece. This will be a great way to stay in touch with some of the students who have chosen to stay close to home and continue West Michigan’s reputation as an athletic hotbed. We have also been preparing for football season and look to grow even further in giving you fans the best coverage available. ESPN 961 will continue to run our ‘Big 5 High School Games of the Week’ where I will be breaking down the biggest games in West Michigan week by week. Fan interaction will be crucial this year as our polls will allow you to select the biggest games of interest throughout the course of the season. Big name teams, small town rivalries and virtual conference title games will all be available for you to tell us what you wanna see covered.

The final topic comes from a side project that WMA has been working on which is a highly in depth and informative Media Guide for the OK Red Conference. The deepest and most competitive league in the entire state is featured and this guide will serve and an educational tool into the game of football as well as the biggest, baddest conference around.
