Ottawa Hills shocks Union, moves on to District Final.

In a game that we thought might be close, Ottawa Hills played host to Grand Rapids Union in a District semi-final Wednesday night. The Bengals have been playing stifling D of late and that was on display last night as Union failed to hit double digits in any single quarter. After the tip was won by #22 Ladon Carnegie, big man from Union, it was Ottawa Hills who dominated the entire game.

Ottawa Hills defense was stifling underneath.

This forced Union to the exterior, and at the half in this low scoring affair Ottawa Hills was up by 11, 25 to 14.

CJ Bowen #22 for the Hills was outstanding driving to the hoop!

While #11 Madison Taylor had some sweet moves in his shoes!

It was clear that Coach Van Mayfield had his players all on the same page!

Driving to the hoop with tenacity like #32 Shakur Sanders.

Sanders with the throw down!

But it was outstanding persistence on the boards and defense that led the young men from Ottawa Hills to a doubling their opponents total and putting this one away 50 to 24.
