I think Trent Windemuller is a VERY GOOD Guard He is a team player and is a excellent 3 point shooter.

    • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

Trent is good but he is very streaky, he also lacks intensity at times on D. He also has to deal with being overshadowed by the other two parts of the three-headed monster that is holland…Colin and Coreontae

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_BOHSIOCVVITNT34DUMM6ZL26ZE BERNARD

I think every player can be streaky. Colin is VERY streaky. When you are on a team you have to be a team player and pass the ball. Colin does not do that.

        • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

Colin isn’t quite a true point, he does force some shots but at the sametime…doesn’t trent pull up from three all to often, even when he has a man wide open or a man in his face?

Fred Brown from east kentwood without him they wouldnt be as far as they are he is a very good forward playing center for them

    • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

Fred is just as important as Micah gates is for them

Ladon Carnegie is one of the most versatile players in GR. Plays great inside and can play outside. Went All State last year, and he makes that Union team go. If you go to the games you can how unselfish he really is too. Gets a lot of good open shots for team mates cause teams focus so much on him. Good good player

    • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

very true, he played a vital role in their upset over christian.

      • Anonymous

True. And he’s a tough out for anyone that has to guard him. That Union team will tough in their district at Ottowa

        • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

yep, it’s good he’s got a solid team around him and a solid coach as well. you put some of the other guys on this list on team’s like union and they’d be much better, but hey, carnegie is good and no one should sleep on union

          • Anonymous

Yea a lot of teams can be better. But let’s see how it turns out. Union has a good young guard too in Demarkus Stuckey, who at times looks as the best guard on that team. Hope to see a EK vs Union district final. that’d be a great match up.

          • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

that’s what my money is on, and i’ll pick union over EK..i haven’t been too impressed with EK this year.

          • Anonymous

I’ll take Union too. Idk how good EK is but idk if the have anyone to match up with Unions size. Ladon and Jawanza. Plus Union has the guards to match up. EK has to be good if they are up top the OK Red though, right?

          • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

the Ok-Red is the toughest conference in michigan(arguably), but that doesn’t mean that they have the best teams, just that they can beat eachother on any given night. EK is good, they have solid defense but can never capitalize on the turnovers they create, because they turn it over too much as well. Rockford is a very good team and EK @ Rockford friday will be on heckuva game

          • Anonymous

Good point. That game will have a lot of say in who wins that conference. Maybe EK can dethrone Rockford. Who do you believe are the 5 best teams in the west MI area?

          • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

that’s tough because of the smaller school teams like Fennville for example, they’ve done well in class c but we don’t know how they’d do against a bigge school team, but mine would probably have to be: Rockford, GR Union, GR Christian, Holland, and East Kentwood. those are in no particular order. Hudsonville, Heights, Grand Haven, Catholic Central, comstock park and Wayland are definitely up there though.

          • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

Holland vs. Hudsonville is definitely one of the best opening round matchups for districts.

          • Anonymous

Can’t argue with that top 5. Would be interesting to see smaller schools play against bigger school. Tri-Unity always does good against bigger schools in GR.
I do like that Holland match up too, that West Ottowa district is tough also. Kellogsville and Godwin meet again in their opening round at their district. A lot of good possible finals are out there too.

          • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

West Ottawa is an ok district, but hudsonville and holland are the two best teams in it and one is out after the first round. Grand Haven’s district, the ottawa-hills district, Northview’s district, Godwin heights’ district are all big ones for this side of the state. As for regionals, Caledonia’s and Muskegon Heights’/Rockford should allow the best teams to really seperate themselves.

  • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

Myrick is definitely the best guard…just on the wrong team. Kapustka from northview is very, very good and will continue to get better

You need to use a different computer, the system allows one vote per IP address.

It will only let you vote once, so if you (or someone else using your IP address) has already voted, you will have to find a different computer to vote.

Really?? You have Brandon Moore on this list and not London Burris?!?!?
London is one of the best shooters in the state and he is replaced by someone who is nothing more than a tremendous athlete!!! Does Moore even shoot jumpers????

    • Anonymous

Everything I saw out of Moore was great! We held a week and a half long nomination process combined with what we saw throughout the season. Moore was nominated, Burris was not.

      • Anonymous

OK, Well i guess we’ll see whose better come March

Spring Lake is making a run at this!! Who’s gonna step up to the plate?

  • http://twitter.com/DrewSullivan16 Drew Sullivan

It’s a shame jorddan myrick has slipped this far…he’s the best guard in west michigan
