A high intensity game that we have grown used to when following the Wayland Wildcats the last couple of years. The Sailors played with intensity and lead by the outstanding play of #32 Mitch Huisman. The Wildcats started early and held a lead almost the entire game. The Sailors had their opportunities down the stretch when the Wildcats missed the front end of three, one and ones on the foul line with the Sailors down only one point. The crowd and team left disappointed that they weren’t able to capitalize and finished the game down only 1 point.
Early pressure early and high energy made for an exciting game.
#11 Zack Kasper did an excellent job controlling the ball and the pace of the game.
Both teams were exceptional taking the ball to the hoop AND finishing.
#3 Drew Stegehuis driving the lane.
Aggressive defense - good officiating too.

#32 Mitch Huisman with one of his many great scores of the game.
Coach Ken Hiskes would have liked one more basket. Great performance by both teams.
