They’re backkkk.
Running their textbook Power-T, Zeeland West rolled to a dominating 51-12 win over visiting Wayland Union. The Dux run for 437 yards behind junior Joe Gaiser and senior Colin Overweg. Gaiser finished the game with 140 yards and one touchdown while Overweg went 138 yards on nine carries for one score.

The Wildcats kept the Dux off the board until late in the first quarter when Zach Voet scooted in for a two-yard touchdown run. But Wayland stopped the two-point conversion and kept things close until the second quarter.
Then Zeeland did the unexpected: they passed the ball.
Alex O’Connor reeled in a 12-yard pass from Derek Postma to make it 12-0. The Dux converted on the two-point conversion. Two minutes later, Gaiser busted a 83-yard touchdown run for the longest play of the game. On Zeeland’s next possession, Overweg had a long run of his own going 66 yards and a score.
Wayland would get on the board with just 26 seconds left in the first half when junior quarterback Derek Fifelski connected with tight-end Cody Schafer.
It only took two minutes for Zeeland West to return the favor with a 66-yard touchdown pass to O’Connor.
Zeeland West finished with 515 yards on 43 plays while Wayland Union finished with 217 yards on 51 plays.
