For some bizarre reason, Matt Grasmeyer is escaping media attention the same way he’s escaping defenders on Friday nights. Four games into the season, yet no one comments that Grasmeyer leads the state of Michigan in touchdown passes with 14 scores? 14 touchdown passes in four games. Nearly half of his completed passes end with the band breaking out in song and another six points illuminating on the south end zone scoreboard.
He’s not the only one representing the OK conferences on the Michigan stat leaderboard. Hasting’s running back Alex Randall showed us flashes of brillance in week four against Caledonia, and his rushing totals have been seen by thousands of football fans across the state. Randall leads all rushers with 869 yards.
Both Grasmeyer and Randall face their toughest tests this season in just 24 hours (Grasmeyer’s #6 ranked Eagles host #2 ranked East Grand Rapids. Randall’s Saxons travel to #10 ranked Catholic Central).
So, it’s only natural for me to pose this question.
