CONTEST: 2010 West Michigan Basketball Allstars

We here at West Michigan Allstar, in cooperation with title sponsor ESPN 96.1FM and Davenport University are putting together a team of the elite basketball players in West Michigan — the 2010 West Michigan Basketball Allstars.

Of course we have our own ideas of who should make the grade, but our ideas aren’t what matters.  The starting lineup of the West Michigan Basketball Allstars will be decided entirely by you, the WMA readers.

The only criteria is that the player must play for a varsity basketball team in West Michigan (West of Lansing, give or take).

Submit your candidates using the comments section at the bottom of this post, or by emailing their name, school and position to westmiallstar@gmail.com.

Once we’ve compiled the list of your submissions, we will post a poll on www.WestMIAllstar.com, on which readers can vote to put their candidate into the starting lineup.

    Ashton Bowling of Martin. Seen the kid play 3 times this year. He is an outstanding point guard to say the least. He is a complete ball player. Not only can he score and drive to the hole, he also gets his team tons of assists each and every game. He handles the ball extremley well. A do it all player.

      Could be both. Moms are just as entitled to an opinion as anyone else! Actually, it really doesn’t matter at this point, because this is just the nomination phase. On Friday there will be a poll posted on WMA with all these names. That’s where the allstar team is decided. Each person gets one vote, and that’s it.
